Yes — Roblox mobile clients work. See mobile guide.

Catch a Brainrot controls on Roblox — movement, Charge skills, capture boxes, and interact keys.
See Catch a Brainrot controls for PC movement, Charge skills, and map travel.
Catch a Brainrot controls use standard Roblox movement plus RPG battle inputs for Charge skills and capture boxes. Pokémon-like creature collecting RPG with Brainrots on Roblox
Pokémon-like Roblox RPG: explore World One, battle with Charge skills, weaken wild Brainrots, catch with crates and boxes, earn Tong coins
Known bindings at launch (July 11, 2026): WASD move, E interact, 1 ride mount. Charge skills and capture throws use on-screen battle buttons — exact keybinds may be added in future patches.
Mobile players should read the mobile HUD page for touch equivalents.
Battle controls are separate from overworld movement — open the catch item menu only after weakening wild Brainrots.
Standard Roblox PC layout applies outside battles. Inside World One routes, interact prompts open shops, chests, and Brain Rot Center services.

Battles require you to build Charge before skills fire. You cannot spam Firework, Whirlpool, Splash, or Shield — watch the Charge bar each turn.
Typical flow: select a Charge-building action → wait for the bar to fill → tap the skill button → repeat until the wild Brainrot is weakened.
Shield is the defensive option when wild Brainrots outlevel your party. Firework helps finish weakened targets without overkilling before a capture throw.
| Skill | Tag | Control note |
|---|---|---|
| Firework | ⚡ | Requires full Charge bar before use |
| Whirlpool | ⚡ | Requires full Charge bar before use |
| Splash | ⚡ | Requires full Charge bar before use |
| Shield | ⚡ | Requires full Charge bar before use |
After weakening a wild Brainrot, open the battle item menu and select your equipped capture crate or box (Rock Box or golden tier).
Match box level caps to the target — L9, L15, and L22 golden boxes cover different World One rarity tiers.
Full catch sequence on how to catch Brainrots.
Use map teleport UI to return to the Brain Rot Center for healing between routes. This is faster than walking back through cleared zones.
The Brain Index menu tracks species registration — catch one of each type for XP that unlocks shop boxes.
Spawn rate tables appear bottom-left in zones; no separate keybind — they are always visible while exploring World One.
Tapping skills before Charge fills — buttons gray out; build Charge with basic actions first.
Using interact (E) during battles when you meant to open capture items — wait for the capture prompt.
Forgetting map teleport heal — walking back wastes time; open map UI from hub menu.
Riding mount (1) into battle zones unprepared — dismount before wild encounters to avoid UI clutter.
Overworld: WASD move, E interact with shop and chests, 1 mount when unlocked, mouse for camera.
Battle: build Charge first, then Firework / Whirlpool / Splash / Shield, then capture box from battle item menu.
Hub: map teleport to Brain Rot Center for heal, Brain Index for species registration, shop for Rock Box and golden tiers.
Mobile equivalents live on mobile — same logic, touch buttons instead of keyboard.
Practice the Charge loop in the tutorial battle before customizing keybinds — Catch a Brainrot may add rebind support after Launch Week feedback.
Spawn rate tables need no input — they stay visible bottom-left while exploring; use them to plan capture routes before spending boxes.
Enter wild encounter → build Charge → select skill → repeat weaken phase → open capture item menu → throw box → register Index if new species.
If party HP is low, retreat using hub teleport rather than finishing a risky Rare battle with grayed-out skill buttons.
Swap party order from hub menus if one Brainrot is outleveling others — Shield users should face higher-level wild spawns.
See how to catch Brainrots for when to throw boxes after the weaken phase completes.
Console players should confirm E interact prompts before opening chests — on-screen hints replace keyboard labels.
Brain Rot Center shop and heal prompts use the same E interact binding as World One chests.
Map teleport to center is a menu action — not a keyboard key — but saves more time than walking back through routes.
